MusicsWeek: Can you share the inspiration behind your latest single "Dreams"? What themes or messages do you want to convey?
Burt Bankkz: Dreams is about letting my listeners know that no matter what the obstacle is or person holding you down. You can always strive to be in a better position that you are in.
MusicsWeek: How has your musical style evolved since you first started and what were some key influences during that evolution?
Burt Bankkz: Over the years I feel like the more I work on my craft the better I am getting even as far as creating new sounds and techniques that I never approached when I was just beginning. I like to listen to a lot of new music and different genres to help me understand the creative process of other people and how the music industry is shifting day by day.
MusicsWeek: What does your songwriting process look like? Do you have any particular rituals or methods that help you create?
Burt Bankkz: Yes I have different creating methods. Some songs I feel like I need to take my time and complete. On the other hand sometimes when I hear a beat that I really like at the moment I’ll freestyle and record it right then and there.
MusicsWeek: How do you stay motivated and inspired in a constantly changing music industry?
Burt Bankkz: I stay motivated by just always practicing on my craft and educating myself more on the subject.
MusicsWeek: Can you share a memorable moment from your live performances that made a significant impact on you?
Burt Bankkz: When I look in the crowd and most people are rocking with my music.
MusicsWeek: What role do you think social media plays in connecting with your audience, and how do you utilize it in your career?
Burt Bankkz: I feel it plays a major role because it gives the audience a chance to get to know who you really are.
MusicsWeek: Are there any artists or genres outside of your own that you admire or draw inspiration from?
Burt Bankkz: Rod wave, Kodak Black,
MusicsWeek: How do you handle criticism or negative feedback regarding your work? Has it ever affected you personally or professionally?
Burt Bankkz: I don’t really care or pay any attention to negative criticism because if you don’t have any haters you’re doing something wrong. That’s a part of the process.
No i just ignore the comments or sometimes I’ll get a good laugh out of the negative remarks.
MusicsWeek: What advice would you give to aspiring musicians trying to make their mark in the industry today?
Burt Bankkz: Stay consistent keep working success doesn’t come overnight.
MusicsWeek: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future? Do you have any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about?
Burt Bankkz: For the future I plan on touring and traveling to spread the word and the works of my music.
Yes I have a few upcoming solo projects and a few collabs.
