Tim Westwood Charged With Sexual Offences Against Two Additional Women

Tim Westwood has been charged in connection with alleged sexual offences involving two more women.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the former BBC Radio 1 DJ faces an indecent assault charge involving a girl who was 16 or 17 in Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991. He has also been charged with the alleged sexual assault of an 18 year old woman in Wandsworth in 2004.

The new charges follow those filed in October 2025 concerning seven women. Those earlier charges include four counts of rape.

Westwood now faces 17 charges in total, relating to nine women and alleged offences spanning 1983 to 2016.

Westwood previously pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court to four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault. His trial on those charges is scheduled to begin on January 25, 2027.

He is also expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court over the latest charges. A date for that hearing has not yet been set.

Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy of the Metropolitan Police told Sky News: “The women who have made reports have placed their trust in us, and we remain committed to providing them with all available support.”

Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor Catherine P Baccas said: “These new charges, following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police, relate to separate reports of non-recent offences in 1991 and 2004 involving two additional women.

“Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring these additional charges to court and that it is in the public interest to pursue further criminal proceedings.”

Westwood left his Capital Xtra radio show soon after the first allegations became public. He has denied the allegations against him.

The allegations include one woman’s claim that Westwood indecently assaulted her three times at BBC Studios in the 1990s. Other women have alleged rape at a London hotel, sexual assault at a London festival, and incidents of unwanted kissing, groping and other sexual contact.
