Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks May Feature on the Practical Magic 2 Soundtrack

Could Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks be contributing music to “Practical Magic 2?”

Lead actor Sandra Bullock appeared to suggest that the two singers may be involved with the upcoming Warner Bros. sequel. On Sunday morning, she shared footage on her Instagram Story showing Rodrigo and Nicks performing together. Bullock added the message, “Angel voices that are part of an upcoming film….”

 

Representatives for Nicks, Rodrigo and Warner Bros. did not immediately respond when Variety contacted them for a comment.

Nicks contributed two tracks to the first “Practical Magic” film, with Sheryl Crow serving as producer on both songs.

Rodrigo welcomed Nicks to the stage during Saturday’s Daisy Chain Fields music festival for a performance of Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 classic “Landslide.” Nicks praised Rodrigo after joining her onstage, saying, “She reminds me of me, when I was her age a hundred years ago. And I’m somewhat awestruck that she could do all this. Because it’s so hard, you have no idea, putting this together with all of these people. And she’s done it, with this grace.”

“Practical Magic 2” will arrive in cinemas on Sept. 11, bringing Nicole Kidman back alongside Bullock. Directed by “Bird Box” filmmaker Susanne Bier, the fantasy drama follows Bullock’s Sally, Kidman’s Gillian and their witchcraft practicing family as they try to end a curse that has followed them across several generations. Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest, Cassie Bradley, Joey King, Maisie Williams and Lee Pace also appear in the cast. Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett and Kelly Marcel wrote the screenplay.

The first “Practical Magic” opened in cinemas in 1998 and received a mixed response. Its popularity grew after the movie became available on home video, eventually earning cult status. “Practical Magic 2” joins the continuing wave of Y2K nostalgia across Hollywood. Audiences saw “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” “Scary Movie” and “Toy Story 5” reach cinemas in 2026, while “Shrek 5” and Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia” film are scheduled to follow in 2027.
