Nick Lusk: Music turned into a way for me to express myself and the influence of where I came from. There’s so much passion and talent in my area that highly influenced me in creating music.

Nick Lusk: I feel that my voice is very laid back and comforting. I’ve been told by many that it’s soft and emotional.

Nick Lusk: The older legends like Keith Whitley and George Jones as well as newer artists like Morgan Wallen and Zach Top.

Nick Lusk: No story behind the name. It’s just a shorter version of my first name!

Nick Lusk: I hope to show that even the smallest places have huge memories, experiences, etc.

Nick Lusk: I typically start with a guitar and myself, as that’s how I’ve done it for years and years. If a guitar and a voice can invoke emotion, building off that has never failed me.

Nick Lusk: I usually start with the melody and structure of a song and then add lyrics. I like the motion and the music to be catchy and then tell my story over that.

Nick Lusk: My community, my history, and my environment. There’s so much passion, pain, and hope here. It’s endless possibilities.

Nick Lusk: I put everything away, go out, and experience the world. Whether it’s driving around, walking, etc. it helps to clear my blocks.

Nick Lusk: Summer Lovin’ for sure. That song really captures the rural environment of this place and how experiences are created here!
