When Spotify put Travis Scott on the FC Barcelona shirts for a recent match, they also brought the artist to the city for a concert. Now the streaming service is capitalising on that by releasing a film of the event as an exclusive.
Spotify described it as “the next chapter in our artist-driven video content” following recent events (and follow-on video) with The Weeknd and Lady Gaga.
It’s a busy week for the company on partnerships, with two more stories today alone.
First, it has a new deal with United Airlines to provide playlists, podcasts and audio books on its in-flight entertainment system. Next year passengers will be able to log in to their own accounts from the screens too.
Second, this morning Spotify has announced its plans for the UK’s Glastonbury Festival.
An in-app experience in Spotify’s app shows listeners how well their tastes align with the event’s lineup, and Spotify is also part of telco Vodafone’s official Glastonbury app, recommending who attendees should watch based on their habits.
