Offset has made it clear that there is no competition between him and his estranged wife Cardi B when it comes to their new albums.

The Migos rapper dropped his third studio project, Kiari, on 22 August, while Cardi is preparing to release her second record, Am I The Drama?, on 19 September.

Speaking with TMZ this week, Offset said he believes Kiari is his “best solo work” so far and even deserving of the Album of the Year Grammy.

When asked by the reporter, “Are your kids gonna have both their parents nominated for Album of the Year? You guys gonna go up against each other, maybe?” Offset responded by shutting down the idea of rivalry.

“Never. No, no, no,” he replied. “I just want all peace, man, all for us to win, everybody gotta win. We got kids to take care of, we got to catch the dubs (wins).”

The rapper also confirmed that he will be backing the Bodak Yellow star as she prepares to share her latest music.

“For sure,” he said. “That s**t hard, she’s gonna do her big one, too.”

Cardi filed for divorce from Offset for the second time in July 2024. The pair share three children together: daughter Kulture, seven, son Wave, four, and their youngest, Blossom, who is 12 months old.

Offset, whose full name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, explained why he feels confident about his Grammy chances. “It was an album that meant a lot to me… just me being personal, me being vulnerable, about life. People like it and that’s a blessing.”
