Irish rock band Pale Blue Moon return with another powerful mix of grunge and gothic on their new single Rise Up, released on Friday, 24 June 2022. The song comes from their captivating debut album The Pleasure Of Finding Things Out, which climbed to the top of the Irish Album Charts. The record features the atmospheric lead single Supernatural, a track that reached #2 on the iTunes Charts and has since gathered more than 870,000 views on YouTube, as well as its follow-up It’s Not Real, which also hit #1 and premiered on Kerrang! Radio before gaining heavy play on major Irish stations.
For this project, Pale Blue Moon worked closely with acclaimed American producer Brian Sperber, whose credits include collaborations with Moby, Staind, and Madonna. With so much momentum surrounding the release, we sat down with the band to hear more about their journey.
Hi Pale Blue Moon, how are you? What have you been up to?
Hi, We are good thank you. At the moment we have been playing a festivals and preparing for a European / UK tour.
If you could describe your music in 3 words, what would they be?
Melodic, introspective and uplifting.

Tobias Forge, James Hetfield, Farrokh Bulsara.

Tell us about why you chose ‘Rise Up’ as your next single, and why you believe now is the right time to release it?
We feel coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic that now is the correct time for Rise up. We all need a bit of encouragement and self-belief.
Talk to us a bit about the concept behind your music video for ‘Rise Up’.
The music video features faces of the world, with an emphasis on our humanity and similarities. IT showcases people of all ages, nationalities and religions. We are all the same and we all have the potential to succeed regardless of our circumstances. we hope our audience can identify and relate to the message allowing us to have a positive impact.
What has been your biggest challenge so far in your career?
The Pandemic has been the biggest challenge to date. everything closed, all our plans had to go on hold. but we survived and we are even more determined now!
What do you think the future looks like for Pale Blue Moon? What are your hopes for the band?
The future is bright. We will commence a tour soon and we preparing to record our new album. which will be ready in a few months. We are confident the new album will be as successful as our current album, so it all looks very positive

Do you have anything exciting planned for the rest of 2022? (Gigs, releases, recording, etc.)
Yes we have some festivals to play in Ireland this summer, including the Fireside Festival and we are very excited to support Grand Slam in Dublin on August 18 in the tramline, that's a big honour for us!
