How Did I Get Here? It turns out the result is no accident, as Louis Tomlinson’s third studio album makes a direct debut at Number 1.
The achievement gives the Doncaster native his second solo chart topper, following 2022’s Faith In The Future. His first solo album, Walls from 2020, previously reached Number 4 on the UK chart.
Reacting to the milestone, Louis Tomlinson spoke exclusively to Official Charts and shared his excitement.
“I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, but How Did I Get Here is this week’s Official Number 1 album. I’m so incredibly grateful for all the passion and dedication of the fans to help make it all possible. THANK YOU!”
Louis also leads this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart, selling more vinyl copies than any other artist over the past seven days.
There is also praise for Megadeth, whose self titled 17th studio album and final release secures the legendary metal band their joint highest chart position to date at Number 3.
Elsewhere, Scottish singer songwriter Callum Beattie reaches a major milestone, landing his first Top 10 album with INDI at Number 4. The release marks his first project as an independent artist and also tops the Official Record Store Chart as the best selling album in UK independent shops this week.
MIKA makes a strong comeback with Hyperlove, which opens at Number 14 and becomes his highest charting album in 17 years since 2009’s The Boy Who Knew Too Much.
Harry Styles sees renewed momentum across his catalogue as Harry’s House climbs to Number 16 and Fine Line rises to Number 25, following his Official Singles Chart Number 1 with Aperture, the lead song from his upcoming fourth studio album KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY.
Following the reveal of his forthcoming album The Great Divide, Noah Kahan’s former chart topper Stick Season returns to the Top 20, settling at Number 17.
British punk icons The Damned add another success to their career, earning their ninth Top 40 album with Not Like Everybody Else at Number 23.
Rounding things off, a special mention goes to Fred again.. who claims the biggest climb of the week as his USB project rockets up 51 places to Number 40.
