February 12, 2026 — Singer-songwriter Omri Ash steps into a new creative chapter with the release of Acts of Faith, an intimate, acoustic-driven album that fuses folk influences, cinematic storytelling and philosophical reflection. Marking his first studio album, the record captures Ash at his most vulnerable — navigating love, purpose, isolation and the courage it takes to believe in one’s path.
Sonically, Acts of Faith draws inspiration from iconic storytellers such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens, blending warm acoustic arrangements with soulful textures. Subtle instrumental moments — including emotive saxophone passages — deepen the album’s emotional resonance while keeping Ash’s lyricism front and center.
Though praised for his voice and musicianship, Ash views songwriting as his true calling.
“My biggest talent is storytelling,” he said. “Expressing myself isn’t really a choice — it’s something I have to do. It’s how I survive and how I exist.”
While Acts of Faith is his fifth project overall, following four independently-produced records, it represents a defining turning point. After years of creating music privately while working professionally in filmmaking, Ash’s trajectory shifted when he connected with producer Tomer Ben Yosef. What began as a casual invitation to record evolved into his first experience working in a professional studio — a moment that transformed both the album and his career direction.
“All the people from all those years came together,” Ash said. “It became much bigger than me very quickly. I realized I had to take the leap and make this real.”
The album’s title reflects Ash’s evolving understanding of faith — not rooted in organized religion, but in creative action and self-belief. Having grown up around religion before distancing himself from it, Ash ultimately found meaning through art, philosophy and emotional expression.
“I had to find my own meaning,” he said. “Art is communication — but instead of words, you’re communicating emotions. I want people to hear this album and feel like they can bet on themselves too — like acting on your dreams is its own kind of faith.”
Throughout the project, Ash explores a wide range of emotions. “Change Is Near” balances hope and cynicism while confronting years of artistic struggle. “Real Love” examines isolation and the longing to feel at home within a community. “No More” closes the door on a complicated, long-running romance, which Ash describes as a personal freedom anthem. Meanwhile, songs like “Another Hair Lost” embrace acceptance and living fully in the present.
With roots in filmmaking, Ash approaches music visually — treating genres and instruments as narrative tools rather than constraints. That cinematic lens gives Acts of Faith a textured, immersive quality while preserving its stripped-down intimacy.
Though pursuing music has required sacrifice — from financial instability to periods of isolation — Ash says the emotional freedom it brings makes the journey worthwhile.
“I’m just enjoying my life and creating,” he said. “That’s what matters most.”
A live session version of Acts of Faith is expected to follow, offering audiences a raw, unfiltered performance of the album in its most vulnerable form.
