Doechii has sparked mixed reactions from fans after sharing her opinions about cats.
The American rapper and singer posted on Threads where she openly admitted that she is not particularly fond of felines.
"People act like it's a crime to dislike cats when they genuinely aren't friendly animals," she wrote.
"They don't wanna be domestic, just leave 'em alone! Like it's not organic. I'm sorry but it's rare that cats are immediately lovey without years of pain and work put in.
"Y'all be scratched and beat up by your own animals," she added.
Her remarks quickly drew strong responses from cat lovers, with many jumping into the comments to defend the animals.
However, the self described Swamp Princess showed no signs of backing away from her opinion. In the replies under her post, she shared a clip of Tiffany Pollard laughing while audience members booed and threw items at her during Flavour of Love in 2006.
"Me vs cat owners," the rapper captioned the clip.
Doechii is currently enjoying a major year in the spotlight, having received three NAACP Award nominations and taking home a Grammy for Best Music Video for Anxiety in February.
"I don't even know what to say, I wasn't expecting this one, thank u," she wrote on Threads after winning the award.
