Jesy Nelson Seeks Help Following Theft of Car Carrying Daughters’ Medical Gear

Jesy Nelson has asked for public help after her car, which held vital medical equipment for her baby daughters, was taken from outside her home.

The former Little Mix member shared the update on Instagram Stories, explaining that her black Land Rover Defender was stolen in the early hours of the morning from her property in Brentwood, Essex.

She urged anyone who might have seen anything to reach out, writing, “Please if any of you have seen or know of any information, can you DM me or contact the police. I have so much of my girls’ hospital equipment in that car that’s really needed.”

The situation is especially serious because of the health condition of Nelson’s twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, who were diagnosed earlier this year with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The rare condition affects muscle strength and movement.

Nelson has been open about how difficult it has been caring for her daughters since their diagnosis, describing it as an intense period that involves regular hospital visits and continuous medical care. SMA, especially Type 1, can affect basic functions such as breathing, swallowing and movement, which often means relying on specialized equipment every day.

Back in January, Nelson explained that her daughters’ condition could have lasting effects. She shared that doctors told her the children may not be able to walk or fully support their necks, highlighting how important it is for them to have consistent access to treatment and the right equipment.

Since speaking about the diagnosis, Nelson has also used her platform to raise awareness about SMA. She recently supported new government plans to bring in newborn screening for the condition, stressing how important early diagnosis and treatment can be.

The theft of the vehicle, along with the loss of essential medical items, has sparked concern among fans, with Nelson using her platform to spread the word and encourage anyone with information to contact authorities.

Nelson first gained recognition as part of Little Mix, one of the United Kingdom’s most successful girl groups, before leaving the group in 2020. She later began her solo career with the single “Boyz,” followed by releases such as “Bad Thing.”

At the time of publication, there have been no new updates on whether the vehicle has been recovered.
