Charli XCX chases second Number 1 of the year with Music, Fashion, Film

Charli XCX is heading toward her second UK Number 1 album of 2026 and the fourth of her career with her eighth studio record, Music, Fashion, Film. The project currently tops the midweek chart and could follow Crash from 2022, BRAT from 2024, and February’s Wuthering Heights to the UK summit.

Snow Patrol remain close behind at Number 2 with an expanded 20th anniversary edition of their 2006 album Eyes Open. The record recently passed 10 million sales worldwide and became the first recipient of the Official Charts Hall of Fame Award, giving the group a strong chance of challenging for the top spot.

Shania Twain is currently placed at Number 3 with Little Miss Twain, which is expected to give the Canadian singer and songwriter her seventh UK Top 10 album. New York rock group The Strokes follow at Number 4 with Reality Awaits, their first new release in six years.

Elsewhere, British rapper Nines is on track to enter the Top 10 at Number 10 with his unexpected archive collection Lost Tapes. Reading artist Songer could achieve his highest chart position so far as WHAT IF I SAY NO? sits at Number 22, while South African singer Tyla appears at Number 39 with her second album A*POP.

New editions and upcoming concerts have also helped several older releases return to the chart. James Marriott’s 2023 album Are We There Yet? reappears at Number 31, while his 2022 EP Bitter Tongues could make its chart debut at Number 40 following fresh vinyl editions.

With three Wembley Stadium concerts approaching, Luke Combs returns at Number 30 with The Way I Am. Keane’s Under The Iron Sea enters at Number 35 after receiving a 20th anniversary box set, while Michael Jackson completes the Top 5 with The Essential.
