“Every person affects the people around them,” he said. “So, the song focuses on inner strength and people who have gotten through depression. We can free ourselves from the continuous humdrum of consumer culture fed through television and find understanding and peace, which is an inner realization.”
As an independent artist compared to Lupe Fiasco, Truse wants his music to bridge peace and compassion throughout the world. “I have a lot of compassion, and I care about people and the world,” he admitted. “I want my music and voice to portray that and touch people who have suffered from depression and struggled in life.”
