“I would describe it as true events, true stories, true emotions. And a lot of feelings on melodies,” says the artist of his latest track.
Glockwave’s music can best be summarized as seamless execution of bars over upbeat tracks. His latest single, “Ganar,” is smoothly delivered, bar after bar, following a sultry instrumental opening. In lieu of explaining too much, Glockwave insists that listeners check out the song for more meaning. “I feel like less words is more words,” he adds.
The artist is humble—a man of few words. “My music and imagery say a whole bunch of words that I can’t really put into a way that makes sense with language,” says the artist. Instead of talking about his music, he pours his heart and soul into its creation.
When asked what inspires him, Glockwave has a simple reply: “God. That’s my only inspiration.” In earlier years, Glockwave was influenced to pursue music by family members who had previously dabbled in the music industry. He has since continued to develop a unique sound that fits his vibe and personality.
Glockwave’s proudest achievement—as it should be—is finding his own style, instead of replicating the sounds of other musicians. “I’m proud of finding the music in me—it sounds different than anyone else’s.”
His writing process is as straightforward as his communication. “Whenever I’m ready to do music, I go into the studio and play any beat I have,” explains Glockwave of his writing method. “When I go into the studio, I know I’m going to do the song and don’t think about the lyrics or write. Whatever the beat’s giving me, I give back to the beat.”
Over the next year, Glockwave is looking to keep building momentum with his music. “I see a lot of things to come,” says the artist discreetly. “This is only the first step.” From performances to new releases, listeners are sure to be pleasantly surprised when the time comes.
