Artist Alvakine (pronounced al-va-kyne), is the newest addition to the “sad rap” music genre. The New York based artist has dropped a new EP titled Do You Love Me Now. The project talks of stories about toxic relationships and the aftermath of heartbreak, coming straight from his personal experience.
Do You Love Me Now is a compilation of emo-rap storylines. The theme ranges from emotions surrounding the need for closure to a never-ending off-and-on relationship. It’s about shutting out the world to pursue romance, drinking due to depression, and not being able to move on from a devastating breakup.
