Kim Kardashian names BLACKPINK’s Lisa as her dream collab and opens up about calling Travis Scott for sneakers

Even with Kim Kardashian’s level of fame, there are moments when picking up the phone and asking for a favor still comes in handy.

The Skims founder appeared on Complex’s Sneaker Shopping on Monday Feb. 2, where she spoke about her appreciation for Travis Scott’s Nike collaborations and admitted she sometimes reaches out to him to make sure she does not miss any of his drops. Scott previously dated Kim’s half sister Kylie Jenner, and Kim is the aunt to the two children they share.

Kardashian says she considers herself somewhat of a sneaker “snob,” explaining that she only gravitates toward a small number of silhouettes, but makes an exception when it comes to Scott’s Nike releases.

“I’d say the most shoes I have are Travis’. Every colorway, the pinks that just came out — I’m not that girl to call in family favors,” she said. “I just don’t, [but] I had to call to get the Travis pinks. I call and then they show up.”

The sneakers she is referring to are part of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Pink Pack,” a highly anticipated release that is expected to arrive in stores this May.

Kardashian has also stepped into the sneaker world herself, with the Skims x Nike Rift Mesh revealed last month and scheduled to launch on Feb. 5.

The ballet inspired shoe was introduced as part of the NikeSKIMS Spring ’26 Collection, which featured BLACKPINK’s Lisa as the face of the campaign. Kardashian shared that Lisa had always been her first choice to front the NikeSkims Rift Satin, making the collaboration feel especially meaningful.

“We got my dream person, which is Lisa from BLACKPINK,” Kim admitted. “She’s such an amazing dancer, she’s so beautiful, she’s so talented. I love her style and we shot it in Paris in the most beautiful space.”

Kardashian continued, “She transitioned wearing all black and she dips down and she’s wearing all pink… I thought it was just really clever to use those two colorways and use Lisa.”
