Oli Sykes suffered a mild concussion after being hit in the head by a phone thrown from the crowd during a recent concert.

The Bring Me The Horizon singer was performing on Monday, May 11, 2026, when a fan launched a phone onto the stage, striking him during the show and leaving him struggling to finish the performance.

In an Instagram Story shared the following day, Oli reassured fans about his condition and explained what happened.

“Alright everyone - just wanted to let you know I'm all good.

"The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling's gone down a decent amount already.

"Last night I was struggling a bit on stage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing, so I'm sorry on my part for what may have seemed like a half hearted performance.

"Appreciate everyone checking in and worrying about me though. Everything should be fine for tonight's gig.”

The incident happened only a few songs into the band’s set at Enterprise Center while the group was performing their 2015 track Happy Song.

Oli had been interacting with the audience moments before the phone suddenly struck him in the head.

Videos from the concert show the vocalist stepping back in shock before shouting at the crowd and asking, “who the f*** threw that?”

He later tossed the phone offstage, seemingly toward security staff, before trying to continue the show.

The moment adds to a growing number of incidents involving performers being hit by objects during live concerts, with many artists recently urging fans to stop throwing items onstage.

Just last week, Eric Clapton reportedly ended his concert early in Madrid after being struck by an object.

Shortly after the 81 year old musician performed Cocaine at Movistar Arena on May 7, reports claimed a fan threw a record toward the stage, hitting him in the chest.

Clips shared online appear to show what looked like a vinyl sleeve striking Clapton as he walked offstage.

The guitarist reportedly skipped his encore following the incident, although sources said he was unharmed afterward.
