MusicWeek Staff: What has been most challenging aspect of your current release “Bleach”? Jimmy Yitty: Executing some of our Tik-Tok specific content and reaching out to a wider audience.
MusicWeek Staff: Do you think you inspire other people through your music? How so? Jimmy Yitty: Yes, I inspire people to think outside the box, and to not give up but rather find a way, any means necessary.
MusicWeek Staff: How would you describe your work style?
Jimmy Yitty: Willing to work all day, every day when it comes to my music and furthering my career.
MusicWeek Staff: Describe your experience recording the song "Bleach"? Jimmy Yitty: I was gonna get New York artist Lawz on the 2nd verse, but it made more sense to get Sammi Shyne on there, who originally had a different verse than what you hear. Knowing the potential the record had, he fixed his verse to what you hear now.
MusicWeek Staff: What social media platforms work well for increasing the reach of your content? Jimmy Yitty: Tik-Tok/Twitter/Soundcloud (/If you stay consistent with content for your audience)
MusicWeek Staff: How did your unique sound come about? Jimmy Yitty: I listen to and like a lot of different music genres. whereas some artists might only like and listen to 2-3, maybe 4.
MusicWeek Staff: Your song "Bleach", did you wish you had done something differently? Or have you changed as a person and would change styles/lyrics now? Jimmy Yitty: No, I don't wish I changed anything about, and it's kinda like the beginning of who I'm becoming now anyways
MusicWeek Staff: What are your music goals for this year, and how are you working towards achieving them? Jimmy Yitty: Getting more merch out, and hosting/curating and performing medium to large scale events, Networking with more tasemakers, influencers, A&R's that can introduce me to the powers that be. Releasing music on a much more strict schedule, creating merch to sell, using our networks to get production, verses and live show agreements from artists with a medium to large sized fan base.
