MusicsWeek: How did you get started in music?

The Radiance:
Many years ago, I'd play a lot of guitar in bands and play shows locally.  I also did a whole bunch of recording work both for my own and others' records.

MusicsWeek: What inspired you to become a musician?

The Radiance:
I grew up in a musical household, there were always instruments all around, and my dad is a guitarist.  I took a liking to the guitar and keyboard.

MusicsWeek: Where do you find inspiration for your lyrics and melodies?

The Radiance:
I write a lot about life experiences.  I find music as a constant source of inspiration and also an outlet to share those feelings with listeners.

MusicsWeek: What role do family and friends play in your life and career?

The Radiance:
My kids are my biggest fans!  I have a very supportive family and group of friends, who are encouraging of my music.

MusicsWeek: What’s your favorite part of the recording process?

The Radiance:
I love most of the process, but possibly the best part is when we record vocals.  To hear the song come alive for the first time.

MusicsWeek: What’s the most challenging aspect of being a song artist?

The Radiance:
In the current climate, it is definitely getting out and being heard, there's so much great music out there.

MusicsWeek: What’s one thing you wish you had known when you started?

The Radiance:
I think it would have been to follow your heart and your passion.  When you create things you love, others will love them too.

MusicsWeek: How do you measure success in your career?

The Radiance:
For me, success is inspiring others.  If my music can help others to have positive outlooks, then I'm successful.

MusicsWeek: How do you engage with your fans online and offline?

The Radiance:
We can be found on all streaming platforms online, and social media.  Offline, we're planning shows in the spring to get out and play.

MusicsWeek: What message or themes do you hope to convey through your music?

The Radiance:
The power of positive thought.  We all have an untapped inner strength.
