MusicsWeek: Can you tell us about your journey into becoming a music artist? What inspired you to pursue this career?
BamsterG: Well to start it off, I wanted to make music because I was surrounded by artists throughout my family like my father and cousins. But what inspired me to pursue my career was the loss of my nana (Grandmother) and the fact that you could change your life through the words you speak through a microphone.
MusicsWeek: How would you describe your musical style and influences?
BamsterG: My musical style can be an assortment of styles. Ranging from Pain music, uplifting music, or could be club vibes. I’m unlocking more paths in music that i’ve never done before but I am in the process of doing.
MusicsWeek:What was the creative process behind your latest single " Dummy Thick"?
BamsterG: The process was basically me flipping the switch from the usual pain music to club anthem for the ladies. I came up with the idea of “Dummy Thick” because women love to shake their behinds and I applied my craft and made the song.
MusicsWeek:How do you handle writer’s block or creative challenges?
BamsterG: Handling writers block has gotten better for me over the years but usually I either give up on the idea of one line a create another line or just figure something out. I go to a rhyming dictionary too for help because sometimes basic rhymes don’t hit the same as interesting and intellectual rhymes. Creative challenges aren’t hard no more either because you live to see something new everyday of your life.
MusicsWeek:Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations and how have they influenced your work?
BamsterG: I’m influenced by my father as always I say but also many other artist like Lil Wayne, XXXTentacion, T-Pain, Migos, and many more artist. They’ve given me inspiration to talk about any and everything about life ranging from the good, the bad, the ugly, and the holy.

MusicsWeek:How do you see your music evolving in the next few years?
BamsterG: In the next few months I feel as if i’m about to expand so far that it’s gonna be very exciting to my heart. But years? I feel as rap is one of the many genre i’ll be making consistently because R&B is another big genre too.
MusicsWeek:What message or themes do you hope your listeners take away from your music?
BamsterG: I hope all my listeners take in my music as relatable through pain but uplifting and inspiring that everything will be ok. And to also let them drift away from reality listening to party and club vibes I present to them.
MusicsWeek:How has your background or personal life influenced your music?
BamsterG: Me experiencing an assortment of thing in my life like pain has help me present to people that I know about pain but also I know about turning up and living a great life and to uplift everyone and even family.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians trying to break into the industry?
BamsterG: Keep going. Do not stop. Do not let no one tell you what you can’t do when you can do it. Don’t let the outside noise get too loud…silence it. And lastly talk to God and ask for guidance and believe in yourself.
