Tate McRae, Post Malone, and Doja Cat have officially been announced as performers for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

Producers revealed on Tuesday that the three stars will be joined by Jelly Roll and Conan Gray, who are also scheduled to take the stage at this year’s event.

They join an already packed lineup that includes Sabrina Carpenter, Ricky Martin, Busta Rhymes, J Balvin with DJ Snake, Sombr, Alex Warren, and Mariah Carey. Carey will also be recognized with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award during the ceremony.

For McRae, the night will be a significant milestone as it marks her very first VMAs performance. She is also in the running for four awards, including Best Pop Artist and Song of the Year for her single Sports Car.

Gray will also step onto the VMAs main stage for the first time, where he is set to perform Vodka Cranberry from his recently released fourth studio album, Wishbone.

Post Malone, who has earned 20 nominations over the course of his career, will return to the VMAs stage. This year, he is nominated for Best Collaboration for his track Pour Me a Drink with Blake Shelton.

Doja Cat, who previously hosted the VMAs in 2021 and wowed audiences in 2023 with a medley of her hits Attention, Paint the Town Red and Demons, will deliver a live performance of her newest single Jealous Type.

Jelly Roll, who received praise for his set at last year’s ceremony, will make a return as well. He enters the night with four nominations across the Best Country, Best Hip-Hop, and Best Alternative categories.

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J and take place at the UBS Arena in New York on September 7.
