Mary J. Blige has confirmed plans for her first ever Las Vegas residency.

The legendary Queen of Hip Hop Soul marked her 55th birthday on Sunday January 11 2026 and followed it up the next day by unveiling details of Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story, which will take place at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The special run of shows is set to begin in May.

Sharing her excitement in a statement, she said: "I’ve been so excited to announce this Vegas residency. Creating a show like this has been something I’ve always wanted to do.

"It’s a chance to get my fans together from all over – different cities, states, and countries – to experience something together. "My Life, My Story will be just that – with some surprises for my fans that have been there through it all. See you in May!”

While appearing on the Today Show this week, Blige offered a glimpse into what fans can expect, revealing that the production will include "actors and actresses" to help bring her story to life.

She explained: "It’s going to be done more theatrically.

"It’s still going to have the music, it’s still going to be fun — but it’s a story, so there’s going to be actors and actresses. So the music tells the story.

"I have so many songs that I haven’t performed yet for my fans… The actors are going to narrate the music, but you’re still going to have a good time.”

The opening run of the 10 show residency will take place from May 1 to 9, with Blige returning to the venue later in the summer for a second stretch from July 10 to 18.

Alongside her live plans, the Real Love hitmaker is also getting ready to release her Lifetime original film Be Happy, which premieres on February 7 and stars Tisha Campbell, Mekhi Phifer and Russel Hornsby.

Tickets for Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story go on sale at 10am PT and 1pm ET on Friday January 16 2026 via Ticketmaster. An artist presale will begin on January 14, followed by an additional presale the next day for MGM Rewards and MGM Resorts loyalty members, as well as Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers.
