50 Cent may have stirred controversy by releasing his Diddy focused docuseries, but the numbers suggest the backlash has not slowed its momentum. Sean Combs: The Reckoning wrapped up 2025 on a major high. According to Netflix viewing data cited by AllHipHop’s Mike Winslow, the four part series landed in the platform’s top 10 most watched titles between July and December.
What makes the accomplishment even more striking is the timing. The series premiered on December 2 and still managed to secure the seventh spot overall, pulling in 51 million views. It finished ahead of the first season of Wednesday, along with Ms. Rachel and Stranger Things 2.
Ranking above Sean Combs: The Reckoning were Monster: The Ed Gein Story, the debut season of Stranger Things, and Squid Game season three. The upper tier was rounded out by Untamed season one with 93 million views, followed by the Stranger Things series finale at 94 million. Taking the top position was Wednesday season two, which dominated with 124 million views.

All things considered, the project stands as one of the most successful hip-hop documentaries ever released, particularly in the modern streaming era. With Diddy still behind bars, it would not be surprising if viewership continues to climb once updated figures are released.
January has continued to be a strong month for 50 Cent beyond his Netflix success. Alongside the streaming milestone, the G-Unit boss has recently revealed several new ventures currently in development. One of them is a scripted drama centered on high profile hip-hop attorney Drew Findling.
In addition, he has returned to an executive producer role for a new podcast that promises to shed light on the rise of DMX. Hosted by fellow New York native Jadakiss, Look Thru My Eyes: Becoming DMX will explore the late rapper’s early life and path to stardom. While firm release dates for either project have not yet been confirmed, the podcast is expected to arrive later this year.
