Taylor Swift’s Possible ‘Toy Story 5’ Involvement Sparks Fan Theories

Could Taylor Swift have a connection to Toy Story 5? That is the question many fans are asking after a mysterious billboard featuring the letters “TS” sparked a wave of online speculation.

On Friday, May 29, a puzzling billboard displaying the initials “TS” appeared against the familiar blue sky and white cloud design associated with the Disney and Pixar franchise. Swift fans immediately began examining every detail, with many noticing that the image appeared to contain 13 clouds, a number long associated with Swift and often considered her lucky charm.

“13 clouds and ‘TS’? one fan wrote on X. “Swifties know that can’t be a coincidence. The theories are about to go crazy.”

The rumors gained even more momentum on Saturday, May 30, when Pixar posted a photo of the billboard on social media. The image featured Toy Story character Jessie dancing on top of the display.

“She’s making those moves up as she goes!” Pixar wrote in the caption, a phrase that many fans connected to Taylor Swift’s 2014 smash hit “Shake It Off.”

“I’m dancin’ on my own (dancin’ on my own)/ I make the moves up as I go (moves up as I go),” Swift sings on the song, which spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“SHAKE IT OFF REFERENCE, TAY STORY IS HAPPENING!!!” one Swift fan commented.

“A NEW TAYLOR SWIFT SONG IN TOY STORY 5 IS ACTUALLY THE CURE TO HEAL MILLENNIALS,” another fan wrote.

“THE DISNEY SWIFTIE ADULTS ARE LIVING FOR THIS!!!” added a third.

Fueling the conversation further, fans noticed that the artwork for 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services appeared different at the time of publication. The original seagulls featured on the cover art seemed to have been replaced with clouds.

Billboard has contacted Swift’s team for a response.

Earlier this week, Pixar revealed that Bad Bunny will be joining the voice cast of Toy Story 5, taking on the role of a character called “Pizza with Sunglasses.”

The new film will also see the return of several beloved characters, with Tom Hanks reprising Woody, Tim Allen returning as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack once again voicing Jessie. The story follows the toys as they face the challenges of modern technology while competing with a device called Lilypad for Bonnie’s attention.

Toy Story 5 is currently set to hit theaters on June 19.
