Aerosmith are returning to the stage for two newly announced concerts.

According to Rolling Stone, the band will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 29 October and 1 November, three years after Steven Tyler’s larynx injury brought their farewell tour to a halt.

Joining them will be a host of guests, including the Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Chad Smith, Slash, Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Sammy Hagar and Tom Morello, with further names also taking part.

Both concerts will take place under the title California, Dream On: Aerosmith and Friends.

The band’s website teased further additions, stating: "Even more artists, special guests, and surprise appearances will be announced in the weeks ahead," with the announcement continuing, "promising unforgettable collaborations and unexpected moments across both nights.

"The lineup will vary each night. Final nightly lineups will be announced at or near showtime and are subject to change."

Aerosmith first unveiled their Peace Out farewell tour in May 2023, scheduling 40 performances across North America.

Speaking to the Associated Press when the tour was announced, guitarist Joe Perry said: "I think it's about time. You never know how much longer everybody's going to be healthy to do this."

Joey Kramer stepped away from drumming duties to "focus his attention on his family and health", and John Douglas took his place for the shows.

The opening concert was held in Philadelphia on 2 September 2023. However, the run stopped after just two more performances when Tyler suffered a larynx injury during the New York show.

The group first rescheduled the remaining concerts to give Tyler time to recover, before eventually cancelling the tour altogether.
