WEST PALM BEACH - After the success of “Just Like You,” Ike Rhein is back with another hit, his latest single, “Messed It Up.”
In a few months, the Michigan native has become the go-to artist relationship ballads that grab your soul and leave you wanting more. He has accumulated millions of streams and views. Since his first single dropped in 2019, he has worked with numerous talents, such as YN Jay and multi-platinum Grammy-nominated Vinny DeLeon. Rhein is a regularly featured artist in industry publications, such as The Source, ThisIs50, Hip Hop Weekly, ELEVATOR Magazine, and The Hype Magazine.
With a crisp pop sound coupled with an R&B influence, Rhein is an expert at creating emotional songs and conveying that passion with energetic hooks. “Messed It Up” is a fusion of futuristic notes and dreamy vocals. The single features platinum recording artist Luh Kel and was mastered by Grammy-nominated Andy Vandette.
Rhein and Kel teamed up for the first time, but it may not be their last collaboration. “He added a lot to the track,” said Ike Rhein. “He’s very easy to work with. We had a lot of fun recording music and making the music video.”
Directed by Ike Anyanwu, the “Messed It Up” music video was filmed in Atlanta, featuring city high-rise views and suburban neighborhoods. However, Rhein’s clean and crisp voice is the real star of the video.
When looking for a lover, “A lot of times, people say, ‘You got to find the one.’ But in reality, it’s usually not just the one ‘cuz sometimes you could have the right person and still mess it up and regret what you’ve done,” said Rhein.
On the heels of his successful single, “Just Like You” that racked up more than 250k+ streams on Spotify, “Messed It Up” proves that Rhein has what it takes to write and record timeless music that connects with fans on a personal level and quite possibly changes their lives.
“I’m excited for fans across the globe to hear “Messed It Up,” Rhein said. “It’s just got so much energy and emotion that I believe listeners can connect with it. I think they’ll really enjoy the video as a whole ‘cuz it can relate to things that humans go through.”
Looking to the future and with no plans to slow down, Rhein said, “I’m just getting started; there’s still a lot of big singles on the way.”
