Music's Week: What inspired you to become a musician, and what keeps you motivated to continue creating music?
DNT: Other artists music saved my life and finally making mine helped me a lot, that’s what also keeps me motivated.
Music's Week: Can you tell us about your creative process when writing songs? Do you have a specific approach or routine?
DNT: I start listening to songs with the same vibe I wanna have in mine and I start playing with keys.
Music's Week: Your latest album/EP/single has received a lot of attention. Can you tell us more about the themes and inspirations behind it?
DNT: The theme is breakup and the dark side of love, the main inspirations are my own experiences.
Music's Week: Who are some of your musical influences, and how do they impact your own style and sound?
DNT: The Weeknd, XXXTentacion, Tame Impala, Travis Scott, Prince, Quincy Jones. They all influence me in sounds and lyrics.
Music's Week: What's been the most challenging part of your career so far, and how have you overcome it?
DNT: Everything is a challenge in making music. The love for it helps me overcoming it.
Music's Week: What do you look for in a collaborator, and what's your favorite collaboration experience so far?
DNT: I look for someone I can click with. Someone I can be also friend with and that has my same music ideas.
Music's Week: What do you hope listeners take away from your music, and what message do you want to convey through your art?
DNT: I just hope people can get in a world to get lost into. Escaping from reality is the important part of art.
Music's Week: How do you balance your artistic vision with commercial pressures and expectations from the industry? Do you ever feel like you're compromising your artistic integrity?
DNT: I don’t make music to be famous, I make music to help people and myself. That’s why i don’t “look for the hit”, I’m just being myself. And if I make a pop song It’s just cause I was liking how it sounded.
Music's Week: What's next for you in terms of new music, touring, or other projects? Can you share any upcoming releases or plans?
DNT: I’m working on my next album which will have a whole vibe and will be a whole “cinematic” experience.
Music's Week: What advice would you give to up-and-coming artists just starting out in the industry?
DNT: Just be yourself in whatever you do, always.
