Music's Week: How did you initially become interested in pursuing a career as a music artist, and what inspired you to follow this path?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: Growing up, it was always something I wanted to be. Until 2020, after struggling with my mental health I started to pursue my music career full time.
Music's Week: Can you provide some insight into your creative process when it comes to writing and producing songs?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: Sometimes I will get inspired by certain topics and melodies that come to mind and I just work with the flow. I get creative with the word choices and I play around with tones to see what works and what doesn’t.
Music's Week: How would you describe your unique musical style or sound, and which artists or influences have played a significant role in shaping it?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I would say my music sound is a mix of vintage and modern soul. I don’t shy away from any specific genre which allows me to bring something authentic.
Music's Week: Can you share any challenges you've faced during your journey in the music industry so far, and how you've managed to overcome them?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I think marketing and understanding your brand is incredibly important. It’s also important to have patience and consistency in sharing your craft.
Music's Week: How do you maintain a balance between your personal life and your music career, and what strategies do you use to ensure your mental and emotional well-being?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: Art in general is my passion. I never truly feel like I’m doing a “career”. Understanding it’s good to take breaks but for me working on music, films and other art projects keeps me balanced.
Music's Week: In a competitive industry like music, how do you stay up-to-date with trends and ensure your music remains relevant?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I do a lot of research to see what popular trends or concepts resonate with what my vision is and I incorporate it into my own art.
Music's Week: Have you collaborated with other artists or producers, and in what ways have these collaborations contributed to your growth as an artist?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I have collaborated with a couple artists and I'd love to collaborate with many other artists along my journey. Collaborations can lead to many great ideas and it’s fun to be able to share and create with others.
Music's Week: Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming projects or releases that your fans can anticipate?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I plan to release an album in 2025 with 2 lead singles before and after the release of the album. I also plan to release music videos and visualizers which will accompany every song.
Music's Week: How do you connect with your fan base and cultivate a loyal following? What is your approach to social media and interacting with fans?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I share my arts in different ways and I support like minded people
Music's Week: How do you handle criticism and negative feedback as a new artist in the industry?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: Depending on if it’s constructive but negative feedback doesn’t really affect me. I’m too personal with my art that regardless it’s who I am and I know I’m here to share my craft.
Music's Week: What are your long-term goals in the music industry, and what steps are you taking to achieve them?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: On a deeper level I’d love to connect with the music and acting/film Industry. This is where my heart is at and I’d love to be able to create with like minded people.
Music's Week: How do you cope with the pressure that comes with being a new artist in the public eye, and how do you manage expectations from both fans and the industry?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: I spend a lot of time with nature. I practice mindfulness and trust my journey and I understand it’s out of my control.
If you could offer any advice to aspiring musicians just starting their journey in the music industry, what would it be?
Alyssa Rose Hunt: Share what you want to share. This is your story and it deserves to be heard.
