Music's Week: Who are your biggest musical influences?

KingJu1c3:
My biggest musical influences are Ne-yo, Jay-z, The Weeknd, Ginuwine

AcWolf: My biggest musical inspirations are common Nipsey Hussle, Big Sean, Drake

Music's Week: How do your personal experiences shape your music?

KingJu1c3:
A lot of my songwriting comes from direct personal experiences, whether singular or a compilation of experiences. There’s usually very little embellishment and it’s almost 100 percent from personal experiences.

AcWolf: My experiences in life has showed me the transparency of being human and allow me to connect that to my music, just allowing to recognize real.

Music's Week: When did you first realize you wanted to be a musician?

KingJu1c3:
Probably around the age of 3. I idolized Michael Jackson like most kids did in the early 90s. I wanted to be just like him.

AcWolf: I feel like I always wanted to be musician but it wasn’t really made clear to me until 2015.

Music's Week: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

KingJu1c3:
I’m a Renaissance man and entrepreneur so i always have something going on. I just published a book called Manhood 2.0: The Playbook to Adulting in The 21st Century. It’s a short read, stop by on Amazon and check out a sample. https://a.co/d/cZptGv6

AcWolf: When I’m not in the studio orperforming at shows, I enjoy going to the gym spending time with my family and going paintball.

Music's Week: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day of recording or performing?

KingJu1c3:
I like to learn and absorb information so I’ll usually throw YouTube on the TV and put something informative on, maybe some Netflix, or even video games. Depends on the mood. I’m a homebody but I like to go out as well.

AcWolf: After a long, amazing performance, my way of unwinding normally would be to just find a space and relax and chill not really think about anything or maybe just chill and hit a hookah lounge.

Music's Week: What does a fulfilling life look like to you beyond your music career?

KingJu1c3:
Empowering everyone around me and making sure I have the freedom and time to do everything I want to do and spend time with loved ones.

AcWolf: I would say the only way I would truly feel fulfilled is to have a life where everyone around me is eating and thriving.

Music's Week: Where do you find inspiration for your lyrics and melodies?

KingJu1c3:
I draw from personal life experiences. Oftentimes I like to get into 1st person narrative mode to draw the listener in. To create an experience for them not just tell them what’s happening but help them experience it for themselves. The melodies just flow out of me and the ethers.. that part is harder to explain to be honest.

AcWolf: My lyrics and my melodies come from my life experiences. The best way for me to be inspired is to simply just live more.

Music's Week: Have you ever had a dream to inspire a song or an album?

KingJu1c3:
I would like to have a creative project where the totality of an album tells parts of a story sequentially like scenes in a play. That takes a grander vision and commitment. To pimp a butterfly is a beautiful example of that.

AcWolf: When it comes to my dreams to make a song, I would say it’s 50-50 but nothing really defining.

Music's Week: What challenges did you face early in your career, and how did you overcome them?

KingJu1c3:
I’m just starting out as an independent artist and the biggest challenge I’m noticing is funding and resources. Being an independent artist is expensive. Finishing just one track from start to finish can cost $300-$800 and that’s per track. And sure the cost can come down a bit when doing bigger projects in bulk but it’s still pricey.

AcWolf: In my music career on Facebook, a lot of letdowns a lot of people saying they were going to do things about doing them, people taking the advantage of my kindness, etc., but I always bounce back harder stay true to myself and now it’s all about Astroblack and we taken over.

Music's Week: Do you have any advice for aspiring musicians just starting out in their careers? What is it?

KingJu1c3:
Keep creating content and keep networking. Keep learning the business and be open minded to change and development while maintaining your core values.

AcWolf: Only advice I would give some of them just starting off the music, is to stay authentic.
