MusicsWeek: What first drew you to music, and how did it become a part of your life? 

N2K: The first time I heard Summer Madness by Kool and the Gang on the radio I fell in love with music.

MusicsWeek: Can you describe the moment you knew you wanted to pursue music professionally? 

N2K: The first time I saw the Jackson 5 on the Ed Sullivan Show.
 
MusicsWeek: How do your personal experiences influence the songs you write? 

N2K: Most of the songs I've written have come from personal or observed experiences. I usually have an emotional connection to what I write.
 
MusicsWeek: What themes do you find yourself returning to in your music? 

N2K: Spiritual Growth and Encouragement and Love
 
MusicsWeek: Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound?

N2K: Qunicy Jones,  Earth Wind and Fire, Steely Dan, Hall and Oats, Luther Vandross Atlantic Star.
 
MusicsWeek: How do you approach collaboration with other artists or songwriters? 

N2K: I try to allow them to voice how the music makes them feel and they look for a collaborative connection.
 
MusicsWeek: What’s your favorite part of the songwriting process, and why? 

N2K: The organic outpouring of ideas.
 
MusicsWeek: How do you deal with creative blocks when they arise? 

N2K: Take a break and reflect on what vibe I want to give on the song.
 
MusicsWeek: What’s a song you’ve written that you’re particularly proud of, and what’s the story behind it? 

N2K: Gotta Pray and Rapper Poet. Both songs came from a place of deep emotional situations.
 
MusicsWeek: How has your musical style evolved since you first started? 

N2K: When I first started writing I would use the same process whenever I would write. Now, I let the process evolve more organically. Because of the change in my writing process, I've noticed more musical maturity in the topics I sing and rap about.
