Bon Jovi will be dropping their latest collaboration album on October 24.
The legendary rock group has confirmed that Forever (Legendary Edition), a 14-track project featuring special collaborations, is scheduled for release in October. The lead single, "Red, White and Jersey," arrives this Friday (August 29, 2025).
Jon Bon Jovi explained: “This record isn’t just a random set of collaborations; it came from necessity. My vocal cord surgery and the recovery process were very public and played out while we were promoting Forever back in June 2024.
“I was strong enough vocally to handle recording sessions in the studio, but the physical strain and demands of touring were still something I couldn’t manage.”
The Forever (Legendary Edition) album features performances by some prominent names, including James Bay, Robbie Williams, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Avril Lavigne, and Bruce Springsteen.
Bon Jovi’s frontman also shared how much he enjoyed reconnecting with friends and fellow artists on this project.
He said: “Since touring and promoting an album we were all very proud of wasn’t an option, I reached out to friends for support. They’re all fantastic singers, incredible artists, and wonderful people, too.
“The outcome is a record with a fresh outlook and a new energy, a collaborative effort that proves we all move forward with a little help from friends. I’m filled with gratitude and joy putting this album out, and I think you can hear that in the songs. I truly believe there’s always something bigger than me, and that’s us.”
Jon Bon Jovi has previously likened his vocal cord surgery to what an athlete experiences after an injury.
Speaking to NPR in 2024, he explained, “I pushed it too far. Even though I’ve trained and studied the craft for four decades, the body eventually wears down. It’s very much like what happens to an athlete.”
He also admitted that the road to recovery hasn’t been quick or straightforward.
He said: “The process took longer than I wanted, but I’m making steady progress and things are moving in the right direction. Right now, I can sing, but my personal measure of success is whether I can perform for two and a half hours a night, four nights a week.”
