6ix9ine Seeks House Arrest Rather Than Prison for Repeated Violations

6ix9ine is asking the court for a lighter sentence after multiple probation violations tied to his 2019 racketeering case. The controversial rapper was expected to learn his punishment on Tuesday, November 4, but there’s now more clarity on why no decision was announced that day.

According to an exclusive report by AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins, 6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, appeared before Judge Paul Engelmayer in a New York federal courthouse, requesting that his client serve house arrest instead of time behind bars. Lazzaro specifically proposed six months of home confinement in place of a three-month prison sentence.

To convince the judge, Lazzaro argued that incarceration would be “much more severe, difficult, and even dangerous” for 6ix9ine, citing his reputation and prior cooperation with federal authorities. He explained that “Due to Mr. Hernandez’ classification, he always serves his jail time segregated and fully isolated from other inmates. As a result, Mr. Hernandez is given extremely limited social interaction with other inmates and very little time outside to get fresh air and exercise.”

Lazzaro also sought to minimize the seriousness of 6ix9ine’s probation offenses. Regarding the cocaine and MDMA possession charges, he pointed out that the quantities were very small—just 0.0122 grams of cocaine and five MDMA pills.

As for the altercation at a Florida mall, Lazzaro maintained that “the complainant was the initial aggressor,” adding that no one was injured. 6ix9ine himself took responsibility for his role in the incident, admitting, “Me and another individual hit a person, and I was wrong.”

For now, the outcome of the case remains uncertain, though the recommended sentence for each violation ranges from three to nine months in prison.

Meanwhile, 6ix9ine has continued stirring controversy online, reigniting feuds with several rappers—most notably 21 Savage. He’s mocked the Atlanta-based MC over his citizenship status, even joking that he would marry Latto to help him get a green card.

21 Savage hasn’t directly replied to the comments, but he did post a tweet that had fans guessing who he was referring to: “Seem like everyone in a corny race right now [face palming emoji],” he wrote.
