Morrissey has called off two California dates from his Nude Tour.
The former The Smiths frontman had been scheduled to appear on Saturday January 3 2026 at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, but the performance was postponed after he suffered what was described as an adverse reaction to prescribed medication.
A notice shared via the Etix listing on the casino’s official website stated: “Due to an adverse reaction to a prescription medication, the Morrissey concert originally scheduled on Saturday January 3, 2026 has been postponed.
“Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for a rescheduled date.
“Should you wish to request a refund, please contact your original point of purchase.
“Requests for refunds must be received before February 2, 2026 at 5:00pm PST. (sic)”
Morrissey’s following engagement had been set for San Diego on Tuesday January 6 2026, but that date has now been cancelled as well.
He was due to perform at the San Diego Civic Theatre, however the venue posted an update on Instagram confirming: “Please note the Morrissey event scheduled for January 6 at the San Diego Civic Theatre has been canceled.
“Refunds are available via point of purchase. (sic)”
No additional explanation was offered regarding the decision to cancel the show.
As of now, Morrissey has yet to address the cancellations through his official website or his Instagram page.
The singer is still expected to return to the stage on January 10 at Boeing Center at Tech Port, followed by dates in Oklahoma City on January 13 and St. Louis on January 15.
Following those appearances, Morrissey currently has three further Nude Tour performances planned for later this month.
He is set to stop in Atlanta on January 17, before heading to Florida for two sold out concerts in St. Petersburg and Hollywood.
Back in November, Morrissey also cancelled the South American leg of his Nude Tour while dealing with what was described as “extreme exhaustion”.
He had been scheduled to perform between November 8 and November 22 in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santiago, Lima, and Bogotá, but venues later notified fans that the dates would not go ahead.
Just days before that announcement, Morrissey had also scrapped two shows in Mexico, citing the same ongoing issue.
