Geese have made their first ever appearance on Saturday Night Live.
The indie rock group served as the musical guest on last night’s episode January 24, which was hosted by One Battle After Another actor Teyana Taylor.
To celebrate their SNL debut, Geese played two songs lifted from their widely praised 2025 album ‘Getting Killed’.
The four piece were joined on stage by touring keyboardist Sam Revaz and kicked things off with ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’, the eighth track on the 11 song album released last September.
They later returned with an energetic performance of the album opener ‘Trinidad’.
The appearance comes just weeks after SNL aired a parody imagining a duet between frontman Cameron Winter and Benson Boone, as part of a sketch poking fun at unlikely musical collaborations.
At the time, some fans speculated that Winter could follow a similar breakout path to Boone and Chappell Roan, with the SNL spoof seen as a possible lead in to a future musical guest slot.
Former NME Cover stars Geese continue to ride a wave of acclaim thanks to ‘Getting Killed’, which received a five star review from NME and later claimed the Number One spot on our list of the 50 best albums of 2025.
The album track ‘Taxes’ also placed at Number Two in NME’s rundown of the 50 best songs of 2025, with praise for the band also coming from artists including Nick Cave and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
There is little sign of momentum slowing either, with the band already longlisted for BBC Radio 1 Sound Of 2026 and confirmed for appearances at Reading and Leeds Festival.
Away from the band, Winter stepped out solo last year with a show at London’s Roundhouse, which earned a glowing five star review from NME. “Cameron Winter has the power, talent and magnetism of a future great a star to go the distance with just that voice, a piano and a whole world quite literally at his fingertips,” the review read.
Later on the tour, his hometown performance at Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium was spotted being filmed by director Paul Thomas Anderson, who was seated in the audience.
Earlier this month, Winter also performed an unannounced set at a charity event under the alias Chet Chomsky.
