Primus have revealed plans for a UK and European tour set to take place later this year.
Les Claypool and the band shared the announcement on their social media last night, Tuesday February 24, confirming a run of headline shows along with festival appearances across the UK and Europe this summer.
The tour will begin on July 31 at Circolo Magnolia near Milan, Italy, before heading through countries including Slovenia, Poland, Czechia, Belgium and Germany across August.
Following dates in France and The Netherlands, Primus will finish the run with four shows in the UK. These include headline gigs at Manchester Academy, Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom and London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on August 17, 18 and 19, before closing out with a performance at ArcTanGent Festival in Bristol on August 21.
As noted in the announcement, the headline shows will be presented as ‘An Evening With’, and tickets will go on sale this Friday February 27 at 10am. Visit here for tickets to UK dates and here for international dates.

The tour comes after Claypool’s own ‘Claypool Gold’ run, which will see him perform across 25 cities in the United States this summer alongside his three projects, Primus, The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
That tour will feature all three bands sharing the stage, performing different sets each night along with a few surprises.
These newly announced dates also follow the unexpected departure of longtime drummer Tim Alexander in 2024, which the band described as a “complete shock”, before they began searching for a replacement.
They eventually selected John Hoffman, a drummer from Shreveport, Louisiana who built a strong following on YouTube, and he was officially introduced last year.
He made his first appearances with the band during the ‘Sessanta’ tour, which saw Primus join Puscifer and A Perfect Circle for a co headline run celebrating Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday.
