Adin Ross Slams Anthony Fantano For Mocking Drake’s “ICEMAN” Bar

Adin Ross and Drake have built a close friendship over the years, so it did not take long for the streamer to defend The Boy after criticism surrounding ICEMAN started circulating online. Things escalated after Anthony Fantano gave the album a harsh review and mocked one particular Drake lyric that referenced Adin directly.

On “Make Them Pay,” Drake takes a shot at Rick Ross with the line, “I was aiding Ross with streams before Adin Ross had ever streamed.” During his livestream reaction, Fantano laughed at the lyric and suggested the bar was terrible, joking that mentioning the Kick streamer somehow made the song worse.

Fantano also joked that Adin Ross would probably overreact to hearing his name on the album. Shortly after, Adin fired back during his own livestream in clips later shared by FearBuck on Twitter. The streamer unloaded on Fantano while also bringing up the critic’s divorce.

“Yeah, you’re fing rrded, bro,” Adin Ross said about Anthony Fantano. “That’s why nobody likes you. Your wife, who happens to be Black, left you. You have nothing going for yourself, you actually f***ing suck. You rated KSI’s album better than [ICEMAN]. Your whole channel is just doing reactions. And every artist hates you... You don’t own anything... If I was you, too, I would have to be enemies with all these guys. I would have no choice to. Because Drake hates you. Every other artist hates you. Keep listening to everyone’s music. I hope they DMCA you and strike you... I hope you get no money off that, I know you need the money... All best of luck to you, my friend.”

For anyone who missed the original review, Anthony Fantano gave Drake’s ICEMAN a two out of ten rating and described the project as a “temper tantrum.” Considering Drake and Fantano already have a history of tension online, many fans were not surprised to see the review become another flashpoint between OVO supporters and Drake critics.

Meanwhile, Drake and Adin Ross continue to publicly support each other, so fans will likely keep hearing references and seeing collaborations between the two moving forward. Even though some critics have heavily criticized ICEMAN and Drake’s other new releases, a large portion of the OVO fanbase appears fully locked in behind the projects.
